The act of clearing your mind
Meditation is the act of clearing your mind of useless thoughts to open your mind to deeper contemplation. This can be spiritual, or just for clear your mind, and have a time of calm in a rough day. There are hundreds of ways to meditate, and this page will only give you one. This is a simple, semi-standard way of meditating.
To start meditating:
Sit down in a comfortable position, and count to four, breathing in the whole time. Hold your breath for a count of four, and then realse for four seconds. Exhale for four seconds, and repeat the whole process. Four seconds, breathe in; four seconds, hold; four seconds, breathe out; four seconds, hold. Concentrate only on your breath. If you wish, you can breathe in through your nose, and breathe out through your mouth.
Do this for however long you wish.
